WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Students aged 10-19 (10-12, 13-15, 16-19)
Those who want to develop their logical thinking and manual skills
Those who want to learn programming and robot designs
Students who want to learn the ability to work in a group and at the same time face the complexity of the robot world and make their dreams come true
Those who want to participate in the World Robot Olympics

Duration of the course: 8 months (32 lessons)

Disclosure:

Students who join and complete the FOSTER educational program can participate in the World Robot Olympiad. According to each age category, special training and competition preparations are held for the students in the competition category.

What is the World Robot Olympics?

The World Robotics Olympiad is a global robotics competition held annually around the world as well as in our country.
It was held for the first time in 2004 in Singapore with the participation of 4,418 teams from 12 countries. Currently, 22,000 teams from 55 countries participate in the competitions.
Azerbaijan participated in the world finals held in Costa Rica for the first time in 2017 and later participated in the 2018 - "Kingdom of Thailand" and 2019 - "Hungary" finals.
Only the teams that participated in the National Finals and won the respective categories are sent to the World Finals.

The World Robot Olympiad "Azerbaijan Final" is held in 3 main categories

1. Regular Category

Covers 3 different age categories

Elementary category (10-12 yaş)
Junior category (13-15)
Senior category (16-19)

For each age category, a mission is given in the appropriate difficulty and the participants are required to find a robotic solution to the given problem
The problems covered by the topic are printed on a map suitable for each age category and are held on a specially prepared table
Participants can participate in the competition only as a team with a maximum of 3 people

2. WRO-Football

Covers the 10-19 age category
Participants can participate in the competition only as a team with a maximum of 3 people
Each team uses 2 robots

3. Open Category

It covers 3 different age categories as in the Regular category
Each team presents a project according to the given topic
Participants can participate in the competition only as a team with a maximum of 3 people
